The questions people actually ask

Does insurance cover somatic therapy?
Usually yes, when it's provided by a licensed mental health clinician. Insurers reimburse psychotherapy sessions by license and service code, not by the specific method used within the session. Somatic therapy delivered by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor is billed as psychotherapy like any other approach.
Which insurance do you accept?
I'm in-network with Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Curative, Oscar, Oxford, Providence Health Plan, Regence BlueShield of Washington, and UnitedHealthcare. If you're on one of those plans, you typically pay only your copay or coinsurance once any deductible is met.
What if I have a different plan?
You can still work with me as a private-pay client, and I provide a superbill each month — an itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs. You submit it to your plan and they reimburse you directly at your out-of-network rate, which is often a meaningful portion of the fee.
How do I find out what my plan reimburses?
Call the member number on your card and ask three questions: Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits? What percentage do you reimburse after the deductible? What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it have I met? That's enough to know your real cost.
What does it cost if I pay privately?
Private-pay rates are $97.50 for a 45-minute session and $130.00 for a 60-minute session. Most clients start weekly and move to biweekly as capacity builds. Your free 30-minute fit call is still the place to talk through frequency and what actually fits your life.
Is telehealth covered the same as in-person?
For Washington plans, telehealth mental health sessions are generally covered on the same terms as in-office visits. This is a fully telehealth practice serving Washington State residents.
